“Don’t call it a comeback
I’ve been here for years…”
The warm weather is making a comeback. Throwback your Friday with a little LL Cool J and knowledge.
There have been some really conflicting weather situations happening recently. This past week has brought beautiful weather with temperatures hovering around the mid-70’s. At some point mid-afternoon, major wind gusts blow through the valley and just a few hours later, the winds are calm again and the sun is shining.
Las Vegas locals know this is the (beautiful) reality of living in the desert. Locals also know that with the mixed weather report, comes warmer temperatures and even more time spent outdoors. Don’t let mosquitoes stop you from getting your BBQ on. Here are a few tips to help prevent those itchy bites from ruining your fun in the sun:
- Maintain your Lawn: Ensure that grass and plants are trimmed to avoid having mosquitoes hide there when the sun is out.
- Discard/Prevent Stagnant Water: The smallest pool of water could be a potential breeding ground for mosquitoes. Drain and turn over any containers that could have stored water from random Las Vegas rain showers. Be sure to also check inconspicuous areas that are normally overlooked such as hose faucets, A/C drip pans, etc.
- Utilize Door Screens and Windows: Try to also make a conscious effort to check for any holes and patch or replace in a timely fashion if you do find any.
