Are your spidey senses tingling? Do you feel the urge to fight pest crime?
Whether your answer is a yes or no, many of us can agree that spiders should only be featured on a red and blue superhero suit. If a trip to the movies this past weekend has you motivated to seek justice for your home, then consider this advice:
Strategically Light the Outside of Your Home
Insects are attracted to light. Spiders are attracted to insects. Discourage this type of pest meet and greet from taking place inside your home or near the entrances by installing motion lights. You’ll still have light when necessary, but bugs won’t consistently be drawn near your doors or windows.
Discourage the Need for Spiders to Visit
Speaking of being drawn to something…Spiders are looking for insects as their meal. One of the biggest ways to reduce their presence in or near your home is by dealing with their usual prey. Make sure to consistently check for open crevices in your doors, windows, or walls that could potentially be inviting for an insect.
Concentrate on the Corners
…and the clutter for any cobwebs. Easy enough to remember, right? Sweep and vacuum up any cobwebs that you do find. You don’t want any spider egg sacs from these webs hatching inside of your home. Need we say more?
