Feeling antsy to go outside and enjoy the warm weather? Reduce your ants-iety by following some of these tips:
Store and serve the food inside: If it won’t cramp your hosting style, keep the food and drinks inside and let guests enjoy it al fresco to reduce ant access.
Keep all food and drink covered: Don’t give ants or any pests the opportunity to crawl in and feast while you’re not looking.
Promptly wipe up any spills: Sugary drinks and food are the ultimate dining mecca for ants. Don’t let an unnoticed buffet seduce ants to the picnic table.
Don’t forget the grill: The picnic table isn’t the only place that ants may look for food. Ants are also known to take residency inside BBQ grills, in-between use. Make sure to wipe up any sauces or marinades and clean out the grease tray after grilling.
Mind the trash: Ants aren’t afraid to dumpster dive. Keep all trash cans properly covered and trash bags sealed in-between use.
